to Srila Prabhupada !
RADHASTAMI KI JAYA !
Please remember that Saturday, 14 September is the
Srimati Radharani (the companion of Krishna) appearance's
day, so we invite all of you to go in the nearest Hare Krishna
centre to join our celebration. It's a very good occasion for a
real spiritual advancement in Krishna consciousness.
STATISTICS
After a little slowing for summer, now RKC's listeners on
the net are increasing every day. At present there are about
300 listeners for the radio and 120 visitors for the web page,
per day.
STREAMING HI-FI (Ogg Vorbis)
A more high sound quality streaming was added at RKC.
It's encoded by OGG VORBIS format at 48 Kbs, it means
about 96 Kbs in MP3 format (near CD quality).
You can listen to it using a compatible .OGG player, such as
Winamp 2.81 up (we suggest to use winamp, since it will be
useful to see the next video streaming from RKC, too).
(look for 2.81 version, since version 3 is still bugged) and
install it on your computer.

WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER ? NO, THANKS
For technical and safety reasons we suspended all
Windows Media streamings, since we are not agree with
Microsoft policy: using windows media player and other
MS software, they can enter on your computer when
they want and take many private informations.
So we prefer to use other free software to broadcast and
listen to RKC, waiting for better times.
VIRTUAL SEVA
You can finally send your jobs directly to the RKC server,
uploading them from the page:
Send all files you want (articles, photos, audio,
etc.),
we will publish them as soon as possible.
Take a look to the page, and enter in RKC Team !
(Those are just some ideas...)
UMS SERVICE
you can send an e-mail from any portable phone, sending
a simple SMS, with an attachment from a list of RKC's files
(letters, images, MP3, etc).
Simply send them to the number (+39) 338 6068606, at cost
of an SMS to this number (international charge if you are out
of Italy. This service is mainly intended for Italian residings).
The message MUST be in this format:
1) addressee's e-mail, your also, or your friend.
2) space (blank)
3) your message's body, then space (optional)
4) file name to attach, preceded from +rk.
The addressee will receive your message by e-mail,
with an attachment, the file you selected with +rk. ... (name of file)
Available files at present are:
new = last RKC's newsletter in Italian language (.txt)
news = last RKC's newsletter in English language (.txt)
intro1 = introfile audio 01 Italian language (.mp3)
intro2 = introfile audio 02 English language (.mp3)
radha = picture of Srimati Radharani (.jpg)
